Workplace Safety: Specialized Training for the EDS-Ukraine Team

23/05/2025

Safety is the basic competence of a modern specialist.

The other day, our EDS-Ukraine team underwent specialized training from Occupational Health and Safety with the support of the EDS Charitable Foundation
It was not a dry briefing, but a sincere and very meaningful immersion in the real risks that any of us may face - both at facilities and in everyday life.

We talked about the following:
▪️ What types of mines and grenades are there - what they look like, how dangerous they are, how to distinguish a mock-up from a real threat.
▪️ What to do if you find a suspicious object or find yourself in a mined area.
▪️ How not to panic and save your life and the lives of others.
▪️ Who and where to call in case of danger - and how to pass on the information correctly.

It would seem that this is something you don't want to know. But in today's reality, you have to.

There were questions, discussions, and real-life examples. There was a feeling that we were not just listening - we were preparing to do the right thing.

We thank everyone who participated.
Such initiatives are about a culture of awareness. It's about caring. It is about an adult position.

We intend to continue this practice so that as many of our colleagues as possible can benefit from the knowledge.

We thank Handicap International - Humanity & Inclusion for new knowledge and cooperation

Let's keep working. Strong. Aware. Together.
