Building archaeology

Reconstruction. Renovation. Construction processes that breathe new life into buildings and structures.

Reconstruction is always a new challenge, as numerous aspects are hidden and cannot be discovered through superficial examination. Therefore, before starting work, builders transform into archaeologists, as it requires careful consideration, based on their own experience and the condition of visible parts of the building, to identify critical moments that may affect the safety of the building and the planned work.

The Eurospace team has begun work on the reconstruction of another dormitory for people who have been forced to leave their homes due to war.

The building we are tasked with restoring was constructed in 1937. While cosmetic repairs have been carried out, there has never been any major overhaul. Therefore, before commencing work, we conducted a technical inspection with partial dismantling of the finishes and exposing the main structures. During this exploration, critical points affecting the building's further operation were identified.

Currently, all information regarding the identified damages has been passed on to the design organization overseeing this project.

After the repairs are completed, the building will become safe for occupancy and can serve as a home and shelter for those who currently need it.
