EDS provides power supply for Mykolaiv main water supply system
#EDS provides energy for Mykolaiv water supply system
We are proud to be a part of one of the largest infrastructure projects in Ukraine - the main water supply system from the Southern Bug River to Mykolaiv.
This facility will bring quality drinking water back to more than 500,000 city residents on a daily basis:
💧 120,000 m3 for Mykolaiv
🌱 50,000 m3 for irrigation of fields in Nova Odesa and Mykolaiv district.
Our mission is to create a reliable energy foundation to keep the water flowing.
⚡️🌊 Energy that moves water
✔️ Powerful power system for three pumping stations (WPS-1, WPS-2, WPS-3) with 35 kV switchgear and 35/0.4 kV transformer substations.
✔️ Pumping capacity:
➖ WPS-1 - 5 pumps (2370 m3/h, head 103 m, 800 kW). WPS-2 and WPS-3 - 4 pumps each (2500 m3/h, 60 m head, 560 kW).
✔️ 39.8 km of 35 kV cable is laid underground along the water supply route.
✔️ Backup power supply: two diesel generators at each station (1650 kVA at WPS-1, 1400 kVA at WPS-2 and WPS-3).
✔️ Reclosers are ready for operation on 35 kV lines.
✔️ 35 kV lines to SS-1 and SS-2 have been completed. Very soon, after being connected to a permanent power supply, the water pipeline will start operating at full capacity.
#EDS - charging the future.
Together to victory! 💪🇺🇦
