The implementation of EDS Engineering megaproject – high-voltage electrical substation «Nadezhdino» 330/35 kV in Zaporizhia oblast reached the finish line.

It should be reminded that this substation will provide power to the future Zaporizhia WPP with a capacity of 500 MW, which promises to become the largest one in Ukraine.

Yesterday, the following works were performed at the facility site:

• installation and connection of power and control ventilation cables, installation of fixtures, connection of junction boxes inside ZRU (indoor switchgear); preparation, input control of 2000 A bus-bar wire to the installation area; installation of metal structures of the connecting bridge of the T1 transformer; arrangement of concrete blind area on the T1 transformer;
• commissioning of ZRU (indoor switchgear) drainage pumps control;
• installation of the YaZ (clamp box) box;
• installation of 35 kV terminal boxes;
• development of a hole in the concrete wall of the cable tray from the future KTP (packaged transformer substation);
• earthing of ORU (outdoor switchgear) cabinets;
• installation of ZRU (indoor switchgear) control cable;
• installation of the 17/40 cable tray;
• commissioning of RZiA (relay protection and automation);
• work on the setting in broken stone of road base;
• manual excavation of footpaths;
• pitching of slope along the outer side of the fence;
• bottoming the chernozem base for flower beds;
• installation of cable trays;
• installation of drain pumps from the cable floor;
• installation of ceramic fittings in bathrooms;
• pipe painting in the pump building;
• painting of wooden door platbands;
• installation of the plinth in the room;
• installation of electric drives on gate valves in the room water B2.

EDS-ENGINEERING performs a full range of construction works of the first stage with a capacity of 100 MW and power supply to the internal part of the facility.

The client and general contractor of the project is our partner Electrum, and the investor is the Ukrainian division of the international company EuroCape.

It will be the first electrical substation, built by EDS-ENGINEERING team from scratch.
