The launch of the main water pipeline from the Inhulets River

22/05/2024

Recently, the main water pipeline from the Inhulets River to the Southern Reservoir was launched to provide water to the city of Kryvyi Rih in connection with the need to eliminate the negative consequences associated with the destruction of the Kakhovka Hydroelectric Power Station in the Dnipropetrovsk region.

The construction lasted for 10 months.

During this time, our specialists built three high-voltage substations 35/6 kV using our own equipment and top global brands. The substations are fully telemechanized, allowing remote control and monitoring of switching devices, as well as receiving all operating parameters and notifications of emergency operations at an automated workstation anywhere.

These substations are designed to power pump stations with units of 1.2 MW each, powered by 6 kV voltage. Our company installed all the technological and pumping equipment at all three pumping stations and conducted comprehensive system testing.

To launch and control all nodes of the facility, which extends over 35 km, special commissioning programs were created, and 60 electrical and hydraulic engineering specialists from the EDS Substation team and KP "Kryvbasvodokanal" were involved.

Water is already being supplied to the consumers of Kryvyi Rih through two of the four pipelines with a diameter of one meter, while commissioning work is being carried out on the other two.

This successful project is a vivid example of our ability to unite efforts to overcome challenges and create reliable infrastructure. It demonstrates that through professionalism, innovation, and diligent work, we can restore and improve vital facilities. Together, we are capable of great achievements!
