Final Post: Energy Storage Systems as the Pillar of Ukraine's Energy Stability

Final Post: Energy Storage Systems as the Pillar of Ukraine's Energy Stability

25/04/2025

🔚 Today we are completing a series of posts about Energy Storage Facilities (ESF)
For several days, we have been introducing you to how ESF works, what elements it consists of, and why this technology is becoming strategically important for the Ukrainian energy sector.
💡 EMS is not just a technical solution. It is a tool of flexibility, stability and security that helps:
✔️ Balance loads in the grid;
✔️ Use excess energy efficiently;
✔️ Increase the reliability of electricity supply, especially for critical infrastructure;
✔️ Prepare the grid for greater integration of renewable sources.
🛠 One of these facilities is the 110/35/10 kV SS GIS in Volyn region.
As part of the project, a 10 kV cell was reconstructed to connect an energy storage facility.
This made it possible to technically integrate a modern energy storage system into the existing infrastructure without the need for large-scale reconstruction.
📌 A full set of solutions was applied at this facility:
🔹 Inverter system responsible for energy conversion
🔹 Power collection cabinets providing safety and control
🔹 KTP - technological bridge between the storage and the grid
🔹 Optimally designed cable networks for efficient connection of all components
🔋 ESS is not a trend, it is a requirement of the time.
Changes in the power grid, increased consumption, decentralization of generation and the war have shown how critical it is to have a source that can not only accumulate but also return energy at the right time.
We are a team that not only executes projects, but also provides an integrated approach to the implementation of EMS:
🔸 #EDS_Project - reliable design solutions adapted to the specifics of the facility
🔸 #EDS_Power - own production of KTP and other equipment
🔸 #EDS_Substation - turnkey projects with full technical support
We take care of the whole process - from idea to launch. We believe that such projects are an investment not only in technology, but also in stability, energy independence and the future of our country.
