The project of a modern electricity storage system designed to provide ancillary services in the Ukrainian electricity market is being implemented.
Main technical characteristics of the facility:
- Energy storage facilities with a total capacity of 50 MW and a capacity of 100 MWh.
- Installation of 20 modular power units with integrated energy storage and conversion systems.
- Complete 35/0.69 kV transformer substations with a capacity of 2500 kVA each.
- Construction of a new 110/35 kV substation with a 62 MVA power transformer.
- Design and installation of a 35 kV switchgear and 110 kV outdoor switchgear for efficient power distribution.
- Connection to the existing 220 kV substation busbars.
- Provision of power supply for own needs through separate 35/0.4 kV 1250 kVA switchgear.
The facility is to be built in two phases.
First of all, the following is being constructed:
- a complete transformer substation KTP 35/0.69 kV, with a capacity of 2500 kVA (10 units)
- an energy storage unit with a capacity of 2500 kW, 5000 kWh (10 units);
- 110/35 kV substation with a 110/35 kV power transformer with a capacity of 62 MVA, 110 kV outdoor switchgear,
- 35 kV switchgear consisting of 9 cells and a switchgear;
- a complete 35/0.4 kV auxiliary transformer substation with a capacity of 1250 kVA;
- 110, 35, 0.4 kV and 1500 V DC cable lines;
- administrative and amenity block with a warehouse workshop;
- ground shelter for 10 people;
- sanitary block;parking lot for 4 parking spaces;
- intra-site passages;
- turning area for large vehicles;
- perimeter and internal fencing;
- lighting and video surveillance systems.
The second stage is under construction:
- a complete 35/0.69 kV KTP transformer substation with a capacity of 2500 kVA (10 units)
- an energy storage unit with a capacity of 2500 kW, 5000 kWh (10 units);
- a 35 kV switchgear with seven cells is being completed;
- complete transformer substation for own needs 35/0.4 kV with a capacity of 1250 kVA;
- cable lines 35, 0.4 kV and 1500 V DC;
